Stacey Bosworth

As Chief Development Officer, Stacey leads The Better Angels Society’s donor strategy and philanthropic initiatives. Drawing on deep expertise in stewardship and multi-channel fundraising, and strong ties to the film and arts philanthropy community, she helps strengthen our support for exceptional documentaries that illuminate America’s past.

Stacey most recently served as Director of Development and Co-Chief Advancement Officer at the Sundance Institute, a nonprofit dedicated to the discovery and development of independent film. Prior to that, she was Vice President of Advancement at MacDowell, the nation’s first artist residency program supporting multi-disciplinary artists through residential fellowships.

Earlier in her career, Stacey was President of Aaron Consulting, where she advised a broad range of nonprofit clients on strategic fundraising and philanthropic initiatives. She also served as the founding executive director of the Joyful Heart Foundation, which provides wellness services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, as well as their caregivers.

Stacey graduated from Clark University where she studied philosophy and communications. She sits on the Board of The Old Stone House in Brooklyn, NY where she lives with her daughter Flora and cat Emmylou.
